14 of 50 – My tribute to the King
14 of 50 – My tribute to the King, a photo by Martin-Klein on Flickr.
For me Dustin Diaz is the King. I saw his 365 and he causes me to start with strobist stuff. His work was really inspiring for me and I miss it a lot, also he never answers flickr mails even they report him unauthorized use of his work 🙂
He published a book some weeks ago and I ordered one copy. I guess it is a good introduction for beginners and how to start and what to buy. After this you get a lot of pictures as example with the strobist setup.
I miss details about the usage of white balance in combination with gels and ground technics with some explanations to start. I guess it could be good to start with simple one light, two light and so on, explain rim lights, balance with ambience light and blablabla.
It is a good book for start up and equipment and to try the shown examples but further information are missing.
